Tien Vominh, Managing Member

Tien Vominh is the Managing Member of Ascent Development, a New York-based development firm that was founded in July 2008.  Ascent Development is currently developing four projects in Long Island City, NY.  Three of the projects are residential, and the fourth is a mixed-use office building.  The three residential projects are: 1) 1333 Jackson Avenue, Long Island City, NY, 2) 10-27 47th Road, Long Island City, NY, and 3) 10-18 47th Avenue, Long Island City, NY.

1333 Jackson Avenue is 73,000 square feet and has 55 condo units, 23 parking spaces, and 1 retail unit.  The project has broken a number of sales records in the neighborhood and is currently 75% sold with 5 months left until completion.

10-27 47th Road is based on a similar project completed by Ascent Development in 2013, 5-41 47th Road, which is located a block away.  The building will have three large units, each with three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, along with private outdoor space.

10-18 47thRoad is a four-story development project that required a new extension to tie into the existing structure.  The final product will be two completely private split-level units.

In 2013, Ascent Development developed a townhouse located at 5-41 47th Road in Long Island City.  The project was a tremendous success due to its unique configuration and efficient layouts, which resulted in record sale prices in Long Island City.   In 2012, Ascent Development acted as the owner's representative on 110 Madison Avenue, which was a 17-story structure on a 25 x 100 foot wide lot.  This project required tremendous technical expertise and understanding of construction logistics and planning.  Each floor had only 3 inches of tolerance in order to meet HPD (Housing Preservation and Development) Design Guidelines for ceiling heights, as the structure was not allowed to exceed the height of its neighbors, as per NYC Zoning Guidelines.

Tien Vominh was formally Managing Director at CGS Developers, a Brooklyn-based firm that develops and constructs its own projects. Mr. Vominh was brought to CGS Developers as a project executive to upgrade the accounting system and restructure project management procedures. In addition to procuring financing for each of CGS's projects during his tenure, Mr. Vominh oversaw the project management of the following developments: The Powerhouse condominiums (177 units), 214 50th Avenue (190 units) and 226 50th Avenue (83 units with 151 parking spaces).

Mr. Vominh received a Masters of Science in Real Estate from New York University. He also received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Oregon.  Mr. Vominh is currently teaching Multifamily Residential Development at his alma mater, New York University, in the Masters program.
